Chapter 25 Guillotine time

Rex turned to the crystal sphere. Gripping the sword lightly, Rex focused a little more on Sword Qi on the tip.

With a quick circle spin, Rex released his Sword Qi extending the tip of the sword. Doing a Sword Art Guillotine while spinning, Rex heard the notification that a new technique had been formed.

"Sword Art Guillotine's Whirlwind Creator Rex"

Seeing the heads roll, Rex did not feel anymore comfortable. He knew that this Devil cultivator would be anything but normal.

The crystal sphere did not shake or anything. It just seemed to enjoy the view. Rex did not know if that was a good or bad thing.

Rex checked on his new Sword Art

"Sword Art Guillotine's Whirlwind Creator Rex"

"Sword Art Guillotine's Whirlwind will always slice at the throat of whoever or whatever you are attacking. When someone or something is smaller than you, your Sword Qi will fall to their throat naturally, the same applies if the thing is bigger than you. The attack will fail to be a one shot kill if the thing has a higher cultivation base than you. If the base is equal or less then it will always kill."

"Sword Art Guillotine is a sword technique that chops off something's head."

"Due to your body cultivator Qi. Axe Art Guillotine is available to you. Spear Art Guillotine does not exist."

"Axe Art Guillotine can be used now. Does Host wish to use Axe Art Guillotine?"

Rex looked at it. Seeing how he would use it with his axe, Rex honestly felt fear.

"That would wipe out a lot."

Rex decided to hide that technique for now. He wanted to have a better time. Using his Sword Art Guillotine's Whirlwind was enough for now.

He kept slicing around and did not realize once he ran out of Sword Qi, that he was using normal Qi and doing a bloody murder.

"The stench of blood is stronger here than when I was in the war." Rex did not dare to avoid the smell.

"I do not care who you are. Once I find you, I will kill you myself." Rex glared out the crystal sphere before slicing towards the exit.

Rex could sense a familiar feeling from the exit. He did not know who it was but he kept swinging the sword.

Reaching the exit, Rex saw the spirit of the old man.

"How have you been kiddo?"

Rex smiled. He did not know if this was karma or just plain luck.

"Well, I'm fighting the guys that tried to harm you. They know that you were the person who stole the Wyvern Egg."

The old man's spirit just gazed into Rex's eyes. Seeing that he was not lying. The old man turned to the crowd of people standing at the edge of the camp.

Their eyes glowed bright red. Demonic Qi was not strong but for someone from the Third Mortal Realm. He had already felt Demonic Qi before.

"This is truly a problem now. Do you still have the axe I gave you?"

Rex took it out of his inventory and handed it to the old man's spirit.

The old man held it and felt joy that his last act was helping the young man whom he had entrusted his axe to.

The mountains started to shake, the rivers became rough, creatures fled from the mountains, people rushed out of their houses to see what was going on, and Rex's guardians and parents rushed to where the commotion was.

"Kiddo, I never had a chance to show my true son my Axe Art. Will you please near fruit and spread my Axe Art to others?"

Hearing the chance to see another Axe Art. Rex did not hesitate to watch closely.

"First step, release your body Qi."

Rex did not know how much he had but he waited to see what would happen next.

"Second step, increase pressure on your muscles."

Rex did not know how to increase pressure on his muscles but he wanted to learn.

"I am sorry Kiddo. I have just barely enough time to finish this technique. I know a guy in the Second Realm who will be able to teach you. In my former bedroom, there is a letter sealed in my closet. Grab it and take it with you.

Without further ado. Third Step, prepare Axe Art Guillotine's Wrath."

The crowd in front of Rex and the old man's spirit started to run away.

Even though they could not escape the camps, the boundaries were long. They hoped that by surviving this attack they would live.

Rex felt the Axe Qi. He could feel that it was sharpened through extreme practice and fighting. Getting excited by seeing the sheer amount of Axe Qi. Rex could not wait to see how much he Axe Qi he had.

"Axe Art Guillotine's Wrath"

The single swing with the axe completely vaporized the axe. Feeling the amount of Qi used in the slash. Rex no longer felt excited because he knew he already had enough Axe Qi to do that attack.

Finding a way to strengthen his muscles, Rex really wanted to use that attack with his sword. Using the Sword Art Guillotine's Whirlwind was nice but he knew in the higher realms that would not be able to always work.

Finding this technique was karma. He always liked watching other people battle. He would learn more about how he would use his axe and get tactics. Eventually he got strong enough to just out battle stronger opponents. If they were too strong, Rex knew he would not stand a chance. He always wanted to fight stronger opponents.

The Axe Art Guillotine's Wrath leveled the camps and everything on the mountain. Rex even felt that the top was about to collapse from the attack.

"I am super excited." Rex's smile made the old man blush slightly.

Knowing that his attack finished. The old man simply faded away.

Rex did not feel his presence anymore. That truly made him sad but he was ready to go give the Wyvern its egg back.
